Breathe First offers a menu of effective and adaptable treatments and experiences that allow you to develop an approach to wellness that is tailored to your needs and interests. We are here to partner with you as you explore—and commit to—the practices and rituals that help you live a life of meaning.
Currently, we are shifting towards a focus on more time spent in community. What we know for sure is that humans need one another to thrive, heal, learn, and grow. Our solitude is sacred and the more we find deep connection with others, the more we can truly benefit from the time we spend alone. Please consider joining one of our upcoming groups (in-person and virtual options available).
We accept BCBS PPO, Cigna PPO, and out of pocket payment with sliding scale options for all individual and group offerings. Email to inquire.
A brief overview of our core programming is below. We look forward to meeting you soon!
Holistic Psychotherapy
Sometimes, talking about our experiences, needs, emotions, and memories can be incredibly important and powerful in creating the life we want. Holistic psychotherapy meets you where you are, supports you in excavating whatever your gut tells you needs to be examined, and guides you towards sustaining what works and shifting what doesn’t.
At Breathe First, we believe the power of talk therapy is at its best when supported by mindfulness and body-based practices, as well as regular creative expression and community engagement. Our conception of holistic means that we consider you in all the contexts you occupy and we draw from every known source of healing to enhance our time together.
Our team is here to offer you an eclectic range of options designed to evolve as you do.
Individual sessions $150 (insurance listed above and out of pocket payment accepted)
Yoga & Meditation
There are 8 limbs of yoga, according to the Eightfold Path as set forth by Patanjali, an ancient Hindu sage and author of the Yoga Sutras. The first two limbs of the path address the ways that we treat ourselves and each other. The third limb is ‘asana,’ or posture, and offers us the movement practice that has come to be more generally termed ‘yoga’ in the West.
As you progress along this path, you focus on the breath, deep concentration, and the practice of seated meditation to still the mind and offer a sense of peace. All of us will keep walking this path throughout our lives, finding that each limb supports and enhances the others. There is no beginning or end; there is only this moment now.
These practices are deeply rewarding and they can also be challenging. Breathe First teachers are always also dedicated students who make time for their own practices every day. We are here to answer your questions and support you as you explore your version of walking the Eightfold Path and how it can bring clarity, comfort, and deep self-trust into your life.
